It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Fall! And why do I love fall? Well, aside from all things pumpkin, apples, pears and harvest there are two other reasons to love fall: The Barn On 128 Fall Market and the Fall One Room Challenge.
The market is wrapped up, which means it is time for the ORC! This year I am tackling a room that I’ve been promising to work on for months, the girls shared bedroom.
Whenever I begin work on designing a room I start by gathering important information. Let’s review the details of the space:
Who uses this room?
Two girls, ages 11 and 8.
What is unique or a challenge about the room?
Slanted ceilings, and the room needs to be multi-functional.
What is the purpose of the room?
Room needs to have space for sleeping, clothes storage, desk space, and also room to store all of their toys.
How do you want to feel when walking into the space?
The bedroom should help make the girls feel relaxed, and safe. A room that will encourage them to rest, but also have a space for both imaginative play and studying.
After thinking about the purpose and plan for the room I move on to putting together the inspiration board. The board shows patterns and textures for the space, a color pallet, and items to use in the room. I am LOVING the board for this bedroom.

It is definitely time for me to get busy so that I will have an update to share with you next Thursday. To see more amazing room makeovers head to the One Room Challenge Link-Up. It’s seriously going to be hard for me to not spend ALL DAY looking through these posts.
