Ready to make a statement with your holiday decorating, but over the idea that you need to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars? SAME HERE. All those Pinterest images make me feel like I need to go spend a thousand dollars on fresh garland and special ornaments. But I’m determined to decorate my house this year to look like the cozy winter wonderland I love without blowing my budget out of the water. Ready to take a peek at how I decorated my mantle this year for less than $50?
I grabbed my holiday decor tracker and headed to Target to see if I could make a big impact and come in under budget. Thankfully I had already identified what elements I wanted to repeat in my decorating and had it recorded on my Holiday Decor Tracker: creams, flocked trees, pom poms, gold and brass. Using this kept me focused and it only took me a few minutes in the holiday decor section to know exactly what I should use.
These small flocked trees were an excellent price and I decided to use one of the simplest design tricks for making a big impact: repeating elements. I snagged up enough trees to empty their shelf and fill my cart, and I’m still picking the faux snow out of my jacket, but what a big difference these made!
All of these trees were styled using books, a small shelf, and my collection of brass candlesticks. Everyday items I had around my house, no need to buy extra decor that I can only use for a month of the year. Total cost for all of these trees? $43!
Do you know how freeing it is to be able to confidently identify just what you should buy to create the look you love? Huge game changer. And it is my goal to help you decorate your home confidently as well, because I fully believe you are capable of styling a home you love. My heart to encourage you is why I created the Holiday Decor Capsule. If you are ready to style your home like the Pinterest images without blowing your budget it’s time to crate a capsule of decor for the season. Head here to get the capsule for only $12 and immediately get started. I’m here to cheer you along the way!
