In some ways life lately has just been hard. Very hard. There has been so much, I almost don’t know where to turn next. I want so much for this online space of mine to be a place for encouragement. A place where you can come to be lifted up and spurred on. Spurred on to try something new, to create something new, or to simply keep going through your day. So while I had originally started off this post by listing all of the hard stuff that has been going on I decided to go back and delete it all, and start this post over. It just didn’t feel right to unload all of that big stuff in this space today. Instead I’m going to stick to my main goal here, which is to encourage you to keep going. Which is why I’ve put together this list of 7 verses about strength. These verses have been a help to me over the past several days. A help for when life is not going the way I want, but I still need to keep going. I hope one of them will speak to you.
Psalm 22:19 O Lord, do not stay far away! You are my strength, come quickly to my aid!
Isaiah 33:2 Be our strong arm each day and our salvation in times of trouble.
Habakkuk 3:19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.
Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.
Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him.
Psalm 31:24 So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!
Psalm 138:3 As soon as I pray you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.
Whatever it is today, big or small, I hope you will find comfort in the knowledge that He gives you enough strength for today.
