Today I am sharing a spring DIY project that was inspired by the cutest little white bunny. This little bunny head is perfect for the Easter season, but the neutral white means she can easily sit out on display past April. I wanted to display it on a cake plate with a glass cloche, but I didn’t have one tall enough for the bunny head. So I decided to try making one of my own with chicken wire.
The video shows how I created the chicken wire cloche, and supplies are listed below.
- cake plate
- centerpiece (I found my bunny here. If you contact them they will ship to you!)
- large paper or tissue paper (for tracing)
- chicken wire
- wire snippers
- spray paint (if needed to change the color of the wire)
- hot glue gun
It takes patience to bend and mold the chicken wire, and you will want to wear gardening gloves to prevent scrapes. (Yes, I’m speaking from experience.) But if you continue to bend and work with the wire you will be able to get it into the bowl shape.
wishing you the best, xo
